Customer photo review of Redtiger F7NA 4K Sony STARVIS 2 Front and Rear Dash Cam

Bought to upgrade my F7NA. As you can see in attached photos, F7A is on the right, lens has a wider angle, so actually records a larger area. Easy to install an operate. Totally satisfied. Thank you.

I bought this dashcam end of May 26 and after less than 3 months of use, the dashcam just stoped working and would not even power up. Up to that point, I was fearly happy with my only complain being the fixing coming off quite often. Now that the dashcam is not working, I am trying to claim warranty but I discovered that the chat support does not even work. Not what I expected for an item which is not cheap.

Packaging - very nice, everything was well packaged and delivered safely without damage. No problems getting anything out of the box. Screens/lenses had covers on. All as you'd expect but felt very premium at a fairly average price point. Installation - cables - we had our mechanic run the cables as they needed to go behind the pillar airbags and I didn't want to mess with it - if that hadn't been a problem I think I could have done it (though a pro will do it faster and probably better). Installation - hard wire / fuses - we read the instructions wrong and only connected one of the fuse adapters initially, so I had to go back and add the other one later on. The instructions do say to do all of this but I think it could be clearer - i.e. by saying what the two cables do, what the end state installation should look like, etc. We got there in the end. If you're DIYing this, just slow down, read, take it step by step. You'll need a set of needle-nose pliers and maybe something to kneel on depending on where your fuse panel is, but overall relatively straightforward. Installation - static stickers - I hate putting these things on and I struggled to do it nicely without air bubbles. It might have been nice to have a smoothing tool included in the kit. I'm very grateful that extra stickers were provided as I had to try a couple of times. The instructions don't make it super clear, but you'll want this for the rear camera installation as well. I cut one of the stickers in half because they're so much bigger than is required. Would be nice to perhaps provide some smaller static stickers for the rear installation. Installation - suction cup and adhesive - the suction cup will be more or less useless, as expected. I nudged one of the cables once connected and the camera fell off the windscreen - you definitely want the static stickers and then to use the adhesive pads. Operation - touch screen seems easy enough to work with, I've had a bit of a play. Tested the app to see that I can get video/images off. All looks good to me but the proof will be real world driving.
